Please copy/paste/paraphrase the letter below to email to your Raleigh Representatives and Senators regarding their support and commitment to the SAVE Act that has been passed by the US House twice but not the US Senate. Passing the SAVE Act will compel all 50 states to demand proof of citizenship on their voter registration. They need to show that they are with WE THE PEOPLE. Thank you.

As your constituent, I urge you to take immediate action to secure our elections and protect the integrity of every American's vote by urging the US Senate to pass the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act and any other legislation necessary to ensure that only U.S. citizens are allowed to register and vote in U.S. elections.    


The SAVE Act, which has already passed the US House, mandates proof of citizenship at the time of voter registration—closing loopholes that currently allow noncitizens to register and possibly vote in our elections. This legislation is supported by the overwhelming majority of Americans across the political spectrum.According to recent polling, more than 80% of Americans—including the vast majority of Republicans, Democrats, and independents—agree that proof of citizenship should be required to register to vote. Protecting the right of American citizens to determine the future of our country is not a partisan issue; it is a fundamental duty of Congress.


Because the NVRA is silent on any requirement to submit proof of citizenship when registering to vote, states have been unable to require such proof. Whether intentionally or not, noncitizens are being added to our voter rolls. These include both lawful resident aliens and illegal immigrants.


Therefore, I respectfully request that you:


Commit your support for SAVE Act championed by President Trump by signing the petition that will be delivered to the US Senate on September 10th.  The US House has passed the SAVE Act twice.  It’s now up to the Senate. Passing the SAVE Act will compel all fifty states – including NC - to demand proof of citizenship to vote. Will you support this election reform that guarantees only citizens vote in US elections? 


Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our constitutional republic. I expect you to act decisively to protect them.
