10 Things to Know as NC Primary Election Season Begins Raleigh, N.C. — This week, county boards of elections across North Carolina began sending absentee-by-mail ballots to registered voters who requested them for the May 17 primary and certain municipal elections. The following are 10 things to know as the 2022 mid-term primary election approaches. In the primary election, voters will select nominees for a political party to move on to the November 8 general election. Contests on the ballot include U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, N.C. General Assembly, state and local judges, district attorney, and county offices. In primaries, voters affiliated with a political party will be given a ballot of candidates for their party. Unaffiliated voters may choose the ballot of any party that has a primary. Libertarians do not have any primaries this year. More information: Upcoming Election. Voters in approximately 30 municipalities across the state will also go to the polls to elect mayors and city/town council members. These municipal elections occur at the same time and on the same ballot as the primary contests for the general election. To find out if your municipality is conducting an election on May 17, visit the State Board’s Local Voter Tool. For voters eligible to vote in 2022 primary and municipal elections, sample ballots are available through the State Board of Elections’ Voter Search tool. Voters also may check their registration status, Election Day polling place and additional information about their voting record using the Voter Search. Voters who have requested absentee-by-mail ballots should receive them soon. In North Carolina, any eligible voter can request, receive, and vote an absentee ballot by mail. More information: Vote By Mail. Registered voters may request a ballot online at the North Carolina Absentee Ballot Portal. Voters may also submit a ballot request by filling out the English N.C. Absentee Ballot Request Form for 2022 (PDF), the English N.C. Absentee Ballot Request Form for 2022 (non-fillable print-only PDF), or Spanish N.C. Absentee Request Form for 2022 (PDF), and returning it to their county board of elections. Voters who submit the request form, instead of using the State Board’s website, must submit the form by mail or in person. They may not submit the request form via email or fax. The absentee ballot request deadline is May 10. Overseas, military, and visually impaired voters may request, mark, and return their ballots through the State Board’s accessible portal. By-mail voters in 2022 must once again have their ballot witnessed and the return envelope signed by two individuals or a notary. As incumbent officials and challengers alike ramp up their campaigns, they not only will want to appeal to their own party's base, but those who haven't yet picked a party. In North Carolina, Democrats and Republicans will have their work cut out for them; roughly one-third of all active, inactive, and temporarily registered voters in the Tar Heel State are listed as unaffiliated. Dr. Michael Bitzer, a professor of politics at Catawba College, shared a look at voter registration data from the North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE), which was released on Saturday. Of North Carolina's roughly 7.2 million voter pool, just shy of 2.5 million voters are not affiliated with the Republican, Democratic, or Libertarian parties. Senator Kennedy Stumps Supreme Court Nominee with One Question (townhall.com) As Tuesday's Supreme Court confirmation hearing dragged into the evening hours, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) raised a simple question about when constitutional protections for life — or even just life itself — begins. "When does life begin, in your opinion," Senator Kennedy asked Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for starters. "Senator... um... I don't... know," Judge Jackson replied, followed by an uneasy, awkward laugh. "Do you have a belief?" Kennedy pressed. "I have, um, personal religious and otherwise beliefs that have nothing to do with the law in terms of when life begins," Jackson responded. "Do you have a personal belief though about when life begins?" Kennedy probed. "I have a religious view that I set aside when I am ruling on cases," Jackson evaded again. Senator Kennedy pushed further on the point, asking Judge Jackson an important follow-up, "When does equal protection of the laws attach to a human being?" "Well Senator, um... I believe that the Supreme Court... um... actually I, I actually don't know the answer to that question — I'm sorry — I don't," Judge Jackson responded, again with an ill-timed grin on her face as her initially confident answer turned to another know-nothing response. How Senate Judiciary Democrats and Judge Jackson's "sherpa" — former Senator Doug Jones (D-AL) — apparently failed to prepare her to answer questions relating to the debate over life displays either arrogance that Jackson's answers don't matter to the outcome of the confirmation vote or ignorance that such questions might arise. With the Supreme Court set to rule in the near future on one of the most significant challenges to Roe v. Wade in a generation and the issue of life being a long-running priority for Republicans in the Senate, it is absurd to think Judge Jackson's team would assume questions on the topic wouldn't arrive. Dear NC GOP County Chair: We want you to be aware of what is going on in NC and around the country regarding election integrity to duplicate the 2020 Virginia election success and to encourage the Haywood County GOP to join the effort. There is an eight-state initiative to duplicate the 2020 Virginia election success spearheaded by the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI) with the support of Heritage Action for America (HAFA), Voter Integrity Project (VIP) and the NCGOP and the RNC. The Conservative Coalition of North Carolina (CCNC), (the equivalent of Virginia's Election Integrity Coalition) is organizing the various parties to deliver training and a summit. They have already had meetings in DC in January and in Winston-Salem on February 4-5, 2022. Fifty plus grassroots groups attended. Michael Whatley was there to assure us that the NCGOP would be an active partner as well as David Warren of the RNC. On the last NC GOP Chair call, Michael Whatley invited Jim Womack, Lee County GOP Chair and Grassroots Director for the Conservative Coalition of North Carolina, to review the NCEIT initiative, progress and to encourage attendance at the trainings. Farce: mockery; a sham.” Mine, February 8, 2016 It’s now been 17 months since the second greatest heist (passage of the unconstitutional “Federal” Reserve Banking Act of 1913 was first) was pulled off and despite the massive amount of solid evidence, not one of the states has decertified the fraudulent “election”. Anyone who watched the court hearing out in Nevada and the paper trail evidence proved without a doubt China’s bitch, Joe Biden, didn’t win that state. Over 1500 dead voted with double digits THOUSANDS who no longer lived in Nevada were sent ballots by the state of Nevada and voted anyway. More than 85,000 and Trump’s lawyer had (if memory serves me correctly) nine binders of proof. As expected, trash web sites who care NOTHING for the truth or fair and impartial elections slapped up the daily “shot down conspiracy theories” cheap headlines after the GUTLESS OR PARTISAN ignored all the evidence and ruled for vote fraud. Pfizer’s COVID-19 Vaccine Goes Into Liver Cells and Is Converted to DNA: Study (theepochtimes.com) By Meiling Lee March 1, 2022 Updated: March 2, 2022 biggersmaller Print The messenger RNA (mRNA) from Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is able to enter human liver cells and is converted into DNA, according to Swedish researchers at Lund University. The researchers found that when the mRNA vaccine enters the human liver cells, it triggers the cell’s DNA, which is inside the nucleus, to increase the production of the LINE-1 gene expression to make mRNA. The mRNA then leaves the nucleus and enters the cell’s cytoplasm, where it translates into LINE-1 protein. A segment of the protein called the open reading frame-1, or ORF-1, then goes back into the nucleus, where it attaches to the vaccine’s mRNA and reverse transcribes into spike DNA. Reverse transcription is when DNA is made from RNA, whereas the normal transcription process involves a portion of the DNA serving as a template to make an mRNA molecule inside the nucleus. “In this study we present evidence that COVID-19 mRNA vaccine BNT162b2 is able to enter the human liver cell line Huh7 in vitro,” the researchers wrote in the study, published in Current Issues of Molecular Biology. “BNT162b2 mRNA is reverse transcribed intracellularly into DNA as fast as 6 [hours] after BNT162b2 exposure.” BNT162b2 is another name for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine that is marketed under the brand name Comirnaty. The whole process occurred rapidly within six hours. The vaccine’s mRNA converting into DNA and being found inside the cell’s nucleus is something that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said would not happen. “The genetic material delivered by mRNA vaccines never enters the nucleus of your cells,” the CDC said on its web page titled “Myths and Facts about COVID-19 Vaccines.” This is the first time that researchers have shown in vitro or inside a petri dish how an mRNA vaccine is converted into DNA on a human liver cell line, and is what health experts and fact-checkers said for over a year couldn’t occur. The CDC says that the “COVID-19 vaccines do not change or interact with your DNA in any way,” claiming that all of the ingredients in both mRNA and viral vector COVID-19 vaccines (administered in the United States) are discarded from the body once antibodies are produced. These vaccines deliver genetic material that instructs cells to begin making spike proteins found on the surface of SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19 to produce an immune response. Pfizer didn’t comment on the findings of the Swedish study and said only that its mRNA vaccine does not alter the human genome. “Our COVID-19 vaccine does not alter the DNA sequence of a human cell,” a Pfizer spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email. “It only presents the body with the instructions to build immunity.” More than 215 million or 64.9 percent of Americans are fully vaccinated as of Feb. 28, with 94 million having received a booster dose. Autoimmune Disorders The Swedish study also found spike proteins expressed on the surface of the liver cells that researchers say may be targeted by the immune system and possibly cause autoimmune hepatitis, as “there [have] been case reports on individuals who developed autoimmune hepatitis after BNT162b2 vaccination.” The authors of the first reported case of a healthy 35-year-old female who developed autoimmune hepatitis a week after her first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine said that there is a possibility that “spike-directed antibodies induced by vaccination may also trigger autoimmune conditions in predisposed individuals” as it has been shown that “severe cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection are characterized by an autoinflammatory dysregulation that contributes to tissue damage,” which the virus’s spike protein appears to be responsible for. Spike proteins may circulate in the body after an infection or injection with a COVID-19 vaccine. It was assumed that the vaccine’s spike protein would remain mostly at the injection site and last up to several weeks like other proteins produced in the body. But studies are showing that is not the case. The Japanese regulatory agency’s biodistribution study (pdf) of the Pfizer vaccine showed that some of the mRNAs moved from the injection site and through the bloodstream, and were found in various organs such as the liver, spleen, adrenal glands, and ovaries of rats 48 hours following injection. In a different study, the spike proteins made in the body after receiving a Pfizer COVID-19 shot have been found on tiny membrane vesicles called exosomes—that mediate cell-to-cell communication by transferring genetic materials to other cells—for at least four months after the second vaccine dose. The persistence of the spike protein in the body “raises the prospect of sustained inflammation within and damage to organs which express the spike protein,” according to experts at Doctors for COVID Ethics, an organization consisting of physicians and scientists “seeking to uphold medical ethics, patient safety, and human rights in response to COVID-19.” “As long as the spike protein can be detected on cell-derived membrane vesicles, the immune system will be attacking the cells that release these vesicles,” they said. Dr. Peter McCullough, an internist, cardiologist, and epidemiologist, wrote on Twitter that the Swedish study’s findings have “enormous implications of permanent chromosomal change and long-term constitutive spike synthesis driving the pathogenesis of a whole new genre of chronic disease.” Whether the findings of the study will occur in living organisms or if the DNA converted from the vaccine’s mRNA will integrate with the cell’s genome is unknown. The authors said more investigations are needed, including in whole living organisms such as animals, to better understand the potential effects of the mRNA vaccine. “At this stage, we do not know if DNA reverse transcribed from BNT162b2 is integrated into the cell genome. Further studies are needed to demonstrate the effect of BNT162b2 on genomic integrity, including whole genome sequencing of cells exposed to BNT162b2, as well as tissues from human subjects who received BNT162b2 vaccination,” the authors said.

This map was drawn by a three-judge Superior Court panel last month, after it threw out the congressional map that had been redrawn by state lawmakers. State legislative leaders appealed to the nation’s highest court to block the map drawn by the panel of judges, arguing that the judicial branch was overstepping its authority. North Carolina’s redistricting process has been a long and difficult one over the past year. Here is a rough timeline of the events: 2020: The 2020 Census is conducted, and State lawmakers are required to redraw state legislative and congressional district maps based on this new data. November 2021: New district maps pass the GOP-led General Assembly by party-line votes; multiple lawsuits are filed to challenge the constitutionality of these maps. December 2021: NC Supreme Court delays 2022 primary elections by two months, and orders a panel of State superior court judges to rule on the redistricting lawsuits by January 11. January 2022: A three-judge panel rules the maps were constitutional and do not have to be redrawn; this ruling is immediately appealed to the NC Supreme Court. Early February 2022: NC Supreme Court, which has a 4-3 Democratic majority, rules along party lines that the maps are unconstitutional. Lawmakers are given 10 days to draw new maps, and a three-judge panel is then given five days to approve the new maps or suggest alternative ones. Late February 2022: State lawmakers pass new maps. The three-judge panel upholds the State House and State Senate maps, but throws out the congressional map and submits its own map. After the NC Supreme Court declines to reverse any of the lower court’s decisions, state lawmakers appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, asking it to throw out the court-drawn congressional map.
