Henderson County Open Space Preservation Bond. VOTE NO

Three reasons to vote NO!

Additional Property Taxes: Henderson County will hold a $25 million General Obligation (G.O.) Bond. Funds would be repaid through property taxes.  The homeowner with an assessed property value of about $400,000, will pay an estimated increase annual property tax of roughly $40.40. This is just the start.

Your taxes are the bribe money for farmers to continue farming comes out of the pocket of other landowners (us) who get nothing.  Only globalist NGOs like Conserving Carolina benefit from this deal who will take control over private property using your money.

Want to preserve farm land and private property rights? Tell the commissioners and city officials (local elected officials) to ‘Just Say NO’ to any more permits. Stop trying to fleece homeowners in this elaborate socialist redistribution of wealth scheme.

• This bond issue is a result of mismanagement by our commissioners of uncontrolled building and land development in Henderson County. SB257 sponsored by Republicans this year gets rid of zoning in NC. Taxpayers should not be paying for their egregious trampling of our individual rights.
