Submitted by Mike Skruggs: 1/25/2022: The situation continues to escalate between Russia and Ukraine and Russia and NATO, including the United States. It may be the most intense and dangerous European situation in decades. However, a Russian Federation invasion of Ukraine in not inevitable. Such an invasion would be bad for Russia, Ukraine, NATO, and the U.S. A significant European conflict would advance China and perhaps Iran tactically and strategically. German environmental polices very similar to those proposed by U.S. Democrats are making Germany and much of Europe dependent on Russian oil and natural gas.
