Jim Womack is a 1977 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He also holds a Master of Science Degree from American Technological University and a Master of Military Arts & Science Degree from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
During his military career, Jim served as a high-level staff officer at the Pentagon, providing senior staff support for several billion-dollar programs that required he give frequent decision briefings to Congress and foreign allies. Jim received numerous awards for his service including the Army’s Legion of Merit and Bronze Star Medals.
Following his 20-year military career as a Cavalry Officer and combat leader in Operation Desert Storm, Jim took the position as Director for North Carolina’s Public Health Information Systems in the state’s Department of Health & Human Services.
